At the office we have been rinsing a few sets from Moroccan-Chilean DJ and producer Mattias El Mansouri on repeat. One of them, his mix for Dutch label Nous’klaer’s podcast series, is a big listen tip if you like to drift away from reality and picture yourself moving non-stop in a room full of synced-up dancers. Surprises? He has plenty. One moment a track breathes rhythmic mysticism in unknown territories, the next you are carried by house with vocals that nod to the Chicago warehouse days. A DJ who lures you in rather than calls for space, delivering sounds that whisper, thump, and open up like a slow-burn revelation. A dance-floor ethos we feel local house lover Yòp resonates with, he’ll be on opening duties to gear it into the Mansouri magic.
